Slab Raising Technique
A soil or sand cement slurry is pumped under pressure into small holes that are drilled into the concrete. The slurry mixture displaces air pockets, water and water saturated materials, it raises the concrete and leaves a firm, permanent sub grade. After the cement has risen to its proper grade, the holes are patched with high strength, quick setting cement.
As a preventive measure, in swampy or land fill areas, this process helps stabilize the sub grade before noticeable settlement and cracking have a chance to occur.
Advantages of Concrete Raising
Immediate access: You are able to walk on the raised concrete immediately and drive on it within 3 to 4 hours.
No Re-landscaping: We do not disturb existing landscaping. How long does it last?: Our repair should last as long as the time that it took to deteriorate and a similar length of time as concrete replacement.
Quick: Since we raised your existing concrete, we do not have to tear out old concrete, haul it away, grade the area, set forms, lay wire mesh, pour the cement, finish and wait for the cement to cure, tear away the forms and then replace landscaping if necessary. We are finished in a fraction of the time and the area used is only interrupted for a short period of time.
Our process is environmentally safe.
We can work safely and cleanly on the interior of buildings and often completing our work on weekends or during the night hours.
